URGENT

Unfortunately this website will be unable to operate after the end of April 2012 due to Microsoft removing all their free websites.

If any parent out there could help with either re-vamping our old site or help to make a new one please contact Yvonne or Alison as soon as possible.  Any help would be much appreciated.

THANK YOU

Stourbridge B Grade Open Meet May 27th 2012

The Stourbridge Open Meet that was due to take place on May 27th at Wolverhampton has been postponed. This is due to the pool having to be drained and re - tiled.

The meet has been re-scheduled for June 17th - at Wolverhampton, however the club are still not 100% sure that the pool will be ready by this date, therefore it may end up with the meet being cancelled.

If any of our swimmers who are entered cannot make June 17th they need to let me know asap as we only have until 23rd April to request a refund.

Nuneaton Diddy League

Congratulations to all the swimmers who have been selected for the Nuneaton Diddy League.

We would really appreciate any help from parents who can help out on poolside please.  Upcoming Timekeeper and Team Manager courses can be found on the notice board at Oakengates.

Unfortunately we cannot compete in these galas unless we have enough officials to take with us and we may not be able to compete in future galas if we don't have the support of parents.

Your children need you!

Standing Order Payments

Collecting monthly swim fees by standing order direct to the Clubs bank account continues to be by far the most efficient and secure method for the Club to collect swimming fees.

If you have paid your fees in this way for more than 12 months you will be aware that historically we have manually refunded payments received in the month of August when the Clubs normal programme is suspended.  When this refund process was first started with only a handful of swimmers paying by standing order this was not an issue but now with approx 70 members paying in this way administration needed to issue the refunds has got to the point where we need to change the way that we do things.

At the Clubs AGM, following a proposal from the Treasurer it was voted that to improve efficiency, refunds will no longer be issued for standing orders received in the shutdown month of August.  Instead, any standing order payments that are received will be held on account and will be allocated as part payment of your swimmers Club and ASA membership fees due at the start of the new year.

This change to procedure will have benefits to the Club as a result of reduced administration and will also mean the impact of you having to pay renewal membership fees in January will be reduced as part of the fee will already have been paid.

The Committee would like to thank you for continuing to support the Club by paying your fees by standing order and hope that the above decision does not inconvenience you.  However, if you do have any specific concerns please feel free to discuss these with any member of the Committee.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Your club needs you! We are looking for people for the club's Committee. Can you spare a few hours a week helping to keep your club going? If so, we need you to become an active member on the Committee. It takes a lot of background work in order to keep the club running, without committed volunteers the club will not be able to run efficiently and smoothly. If you are interested or require more information please contact a member of the Committee.
